TAIWAN: Indigenous peoples seek to improve working conditions

A press conference was held this week by legislator May Kao-Chin Su-Mei to assess the indigenous working situation in Taiwan. Approximately 50 indigenous representatives from around Taiwan have publicly expressed their discontent with the working conditions of indigenous peoples. They claim that indigenous workers have been cheated, insulted, exploited, and been maltreated by other employees, employers, and labor brokerage agencies.
