While the international community is in agreement that intervention is needed in the Solomon Islands, the Solomon Islanders are in the dark. Misinformation and rumor has caused the public to feel trepidation about the approaching invasion. The international force is being sent to the country to bring peace and order that the police and the government have been unable to achieve. The peace keeping force may bring law and order into the region, but the people are worried and uncertain about exactly what the armed peace keeping force will do once it arrives.
