RUSSIA: Third Adirondack-Siberian-Mongolian exchange project begins

On September 10, an American delegation of six members, including a representative from Cultural Survival, departed for two weeks to the Lake Baikal region in Russia. The expedition represents the third in a series of exchange visits since 1999 between Cultural Survival Inc. and the Association for the Protection of the Adirondack. Goals of the exchange include strengthening international cooperation, including ecological and cultural protection, between the Lake Baikal region of Siberia, Russia and New York’s Adirondack Park.
