A new beauty contest is planned to take place in the Philippines, unique because it focuses on the country’s indigenous peoples. Each contestant has to represent one of the nation’s 110 indigenous groups. The Miss Global Queen Philippines 2003 will be staged in Montreal, Canada in October.
