The Ibalois are strongly opposed to a new set of rules produced by the chair of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP). These rules allow industries to access areas occupied or owned by indigenous communities. The Ibalois, who were not consulted, have organized a petition to suspend the new rules.
