NUNAVUT: New Inuit Circumpolar Conference president to focus on environment

Sheila Watt-Cloutier, the newly-elected president of the Inuit Circumpolar Conference (ICC), will focus on pollution and climate change. “The environment is a priority because it's all absolutely connected to who we are culturally,” the ICC chair and Nunavut resident noted in an interview with Nunatsiaq News. The ICC, a non-governmental organization, represents 150,000 Inuit living in Greenland, Canada, Alaska, and Chukotka, Russia.
