On December 9, the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) disconnected the water supply for 23 bases of Zapatista support in the municipality of Zinacantan. Then, on December 21, in the community of Jechvó, PRD militants appropriated the land, rightfully purchased by the Zapatista base communities for 4,000 pesos, that contains the water source.
