MEXICO: Four Indigenous Killed In Mexico

On July 4, 2003 four members of an indigenous family were assassinated in the community of Barranca de Guadalupe, Mexico by suspected paramilitary members as they returned from their cornfield. One of the individuals killed, 18-year-old Mercelina Eugenio Nerí, was an active member of the indigenous organization MHE'PAA, which fights against the military occupation of the zone.
