The case in which Ogiek representatives of the East Mau Forest community are filing suit against the Kenyan government for excising portions of their traditional homeland has been postponed for the third time this year, due to government defendants’ failure to file the proper documents. Ogiek elders who had assembled in traditional dress for the hearing in the High Court were turned away once again, to return at a later date not yet set by the judge.
