An estimated 3,000 moderate Hutus are being held hostage by Hutu extremists in a forest of North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Hutus fled to the forest following the 1994 genocide, and the extremists do not support the current efforts to repatriate to Rwanda.
