After completing a successful promotional visit to Washington D.C. in July, Guatemala’s first and only indigenous presidential candidate, Rigoberto Queme Chay, has dropped out of the race. A problem with one of his backing political parties, the New Nation Alliance (ANN), is cited as the primary reason.
