Senator Professor Asesela Ravuvu says little is being done to ensure customary laws and traditional Fijian dispute resolution processes are incorporated into the current judicial system. Section 186 of the 1997 Fijian Constitution outlines judicial implementation of traditional rights, laws, and resolutions. Senator Ravuvu is confident that criminal activities will be minimized when customary law is implemented.
