Pedro de la Cruz, president of FENOCIN, has asked the UN General Secretary, Kofi Annan, to take an active stance on issues such as Ecuador’s foreign debt, create a fund for rural farmers in Ecuador, and intervene in the increasingly violent Colombian civil war.
