The government of Canada has released its 2001 Aboriginal Peoples Study examining the health, education, and living conditions of Aboriginal people living off-reserve. The survey reveals high degrees of diabetes and overcrowded living conditions, and calls for increased off-reserve programs and services to combat poverty.
