Global Forestwatch Canada, a project of the World Resources Institute, will publish a report in October on the socio-economic conditions in Aboriginal forest communities, aiming to highlight the effects of recent forestry operations. Damage to Canadian forests by government-contracted resource extraction companies has placed some First Nation reserves in peril.
