CAMEROON: Dispute over herders’ seized property brought to justice

A 17-year old dispute between the M’Bororo, a semi-nomadic Fulani people, and a millionaire landowner, Alhadji Baba Ahmadou Danpullo, is finally being heard by a government commission. The M’Bororo claim that Danpullo has stolen their land, cattle, and women over the past 17 years while his money and influence assured him government protection and legal immunity. The M’Bororo now hope for compensation for their lost land and cattle.
