The Bangladesh Adivasi Forum protested the Madhupur National Park project that will threaten the livelihood of the Garo and Coach Adivasi people of the Madhupur forest, by building a wall around 3000 acres of land, restricting the movements of the Adivasi s. Protests against the Rangichhara Tea Garden in Moulavibaza that wants to take over 2.7 acres of land that belongs to the Laxmipur Catholic mission, have furthermore received support from Father Gomes of the mission. Father Gomes has called on the authorities to protect the rights of the Adivasis.
