Although the systematic persecution of non-Muslim minorities and ethnic groups in Bangladesh continually rises, the British government has decided to place Bangladesh on its “white list”, making it even more difficult for persecuted minorities from Bangladesh to seek asylum in Britain. Amnesty International criticized the British government’s decision saying that it “made no sense” in light of the human rights violations constantly taking place.
