Torres Straight Islanders on Erub Island are concerned about having their native title threatened by public works. The Erub Islanders community acknowledges the benefits of public works, but when these come at the cost of native title rights the price is just too high. A Land Summit meeting is scheduled for August 21 and 22 to provide a forum for discussion and an opportunity to form a collective stance.
