ARGENTINA: Boston activists support South American indigenous community

In a protest organized by the Worcester (Mass.) Global Action Network, activists marched into the Seaboard Corporation’s Boston-area office to denounce the company’s ownership of an Argentinean sugar refinery responsible for the displacement and repression of the indigenous Ava Guarani community in Argentina. To signify solidarity with activists, the protest, which included a puppet show followed by distribution of informational brochures, took place exactly one week after a similar 400-person march in Buenos Aires.
