The Spanish Constitutional Court, Spain’s highest court, upheld a ruling by the Supreme Court to ban Batasuna, the political party comprised of indigenous Basque in Northern Spain. Batasuna plans to appeal the decision to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France.
