MEXICO: Indigenous peoples denounce the WTO

Indigenous peoples publicly denounced the World Trade Organization after seizing a state owned XERA radio station in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas on September 11. An unidentified man read the statement opposing the WTO, Plan Puebla-Panama, NAFTA and other international monetary institutions. After the statement was given, the group left peaceably.
