An early warning system set up by the NGO Save the Children in Great Britain is being devised in Ethiopia to protect nomadic pastoralists from famine in the future. The system will coordinate relief efforts in advance of impending drought crises by providing accurate information regarding the amount of assistance required by at-risk populations to international donors.
