The Northwest Indian Bar Association (NIBA) and the Washington State Bar Association is planning to incorporate Indian law into Washington’s bar exam. 49 out of 50 states neglect to include American Indian law on their state bar exams. NIBA hopes this effort will spread throughout the U.S. as tribal issues become increasingly complex and widespread.
