The Lae'i Samoa Association was recently created to teach Samoan men and women the significance of traditional Samoan tatau, or tattooing, in cultural and civic ceremonies. World renowned Samoan artist Su'a Suluape Alaiva'a Petelo will head the organization and its efforts to save this time-honored art form.
