The Kiagbodo Community Development Association (KCDA) has appealed to Ijaw youths, urging the youth to establish a dialogue with an oil company and government to resolve their grievances. The pollution from the oil operations has contaminated water and killed fish, and left the Ijaw youth unemployed. In response the youth took up arms against the oil company thus resulting in government attacks against the youth.
