A Fulani leader was barred from attending the Plateau State Peace Summit on August 10 at the Government House in Jos. Useni Boro, chairman of the Miyyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, was turned away from the meeting twice, first by security personnel, and then refused admittance again by the Secretary of State. The Summit was convened to address the recent violence in Plateau State involving Fulani herders and local residents. No other Fulanis were included in the discussions.
