On August 29, Chief Kuaima Riruako of the Ovaherero people, a faction of the larger Hereros group, led a demonstration to the Parliament Building in Windhoek, Namibia, to deliver a petition to Prime Minister Nahas Angula. The petition urged the United Nations to deny the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) a permanent seat on the Security Council.
