Isabel Gomez Lopez, a member of the indigenous Tzeltal, spoke at the sixth National Reunion of State Institutions of Women about the struggle for indigenous rights, especially the rights of indigenous women, over the last ten years. It is not just the rights of life, work, health, and education which indigenous women seek, but inclusion in the political process and the discourse between their communities and the state.
