KENYA: Maasai women press rape charges against UK soldiers

Approximately 300 women, most of them Maasai, are pressing a lawsuit against the British Ministry of Defence for alleged rapes perpetrated by British soldiers stationed for training in eastern Kenya. The women are currently being interviewed by lawyers from a London-based firm, which has previously represented Maasai plaintiffs in a case involving unexploded munitions. The firm is seeking compensation and admission of responsibility from the Ministry.
