Requests of the Political Association of Mayan Women (Moloj) with the help of the Soros Foundation and Usac, have developed a qualification program for political management for indigenous peoples to promote and fortify civic participation and encourage the participation of Maya women in the political process. 40 women belonging to diverse indigenous Guatemalan groups will participate in the qualification, tackling issues of peace, access to public cargo positions, and ways in which to engage in political parties. Moloj is also embarking on a civic campaign to promote political consciousness with the objective of encouraging voter participation.
