COLOMBIA: Threat issued to Colombian women’s rights leader

Amnesty International is now accepting appeals for Jackeline Rosas, a leader in the advancement of women’s human rights. She is the coordinator of the non-profit Popular Women’s Organization (OFP), which has been active in Columbia for 29 years. Army-supported paramilitary groups, who see her work and the organization she represents as threatening, have declared Rojas a military target. The OFP has faced constant and aggressive pressure because they refuse to cooperate with army-backed paramilitary groups.
