The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs and the Manitoba First Nations Youth Council have organized a conference at which aboriginal youth can meet mental health workers and elders to discuss suicide prevention. There were 35 Manitoba First Nation suicides in 2003, most under 30 years of age.
