The Brazilian organization Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) has communicated its decision to cease pursuing the Eldorado dos Carajas legal case, in light of recently discovered irregularities in the investigation. The case, also known as the “Eldorado massacre”, was seeking to discover the culpable extent of key military officers in the death of 19 protesters and the injuring of 69, in 1996.
