BOLIVIA: Indigenous marchers arrive in La Paz

Indigenous marchers from across Bolivia reached La Paz after a 26-day march that began May 13, demanding an inclusive constituent assembly to rewrite the Bolivian constitution. Luis Vasquez, president of the Chamber of Deputies, has stated that constitutional reforms without an assembly are a more desirable alternative, but meetings are being planned to address the issue. Another indigenous group, reportedly allied with the MAS -- Movement Towards Socialism -- has decried their exclusion from negotiations.
