The Victorian state government has set up a ‘Stolen Generations’ agency to provide services for Aboriginals who were forcibly taken from their families under Australia’s past assimilationist policies. In addition to helping the members of the Stolen Generation uncover their family history, the agency will provide support. The state government has promised to provide two million dollars in funding for the agency.
