Mine opponent and indigenous activist, Neville Williams, continues to fight against Barrick Gold’s Lake Cowal gold mine development. Though the mine is likely to introduce millions of dollars into West Wyalong's economy and create several hundred jobs, Williams considers the land sacred and will challenge Barrick’s title in the Federal Court.
