The Central Anmatyerr Picture Dictionary was launched on June 3 in the three central Australian communities of Ti Ree, Laramba, and Mount Allan. The dictionary contains 400 illustrations and has definitions in both English and Anmatyerr. The dictionary’s creators aim to help Aboriginal literacy in both English and in their own language. The success of the dictionary in these three communities will be used as a model for other central Australian communities.
