AUSTRALIA: Indigenous remains returned from museum

On September 10, the Melbourne Museum returned the remains of an Aboriginal girl to the Dja Dja Wurrung people. The museum was given the remains after they were found in Western Victoria almost 100 years ago (an estimated 50 years after the girl’s death). The museum plans to return around 1,000 indigenous remains from their collection to various tribes.
