Afghan leader Hamid Karzai recently met with elders and other important members of the Wazir tribe to discuss a number of issues, including the role of the Wazir in Afghanistan’s future. Karzai praised the Wazir people for their bravery and support in past struggles for Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and expressed hopes for future cooperation with the group.
