From December 15 - 17, the United Nations Human Rights Council held a seminar in Geneva, Switzerland to discuss findings from a 10-yr study of treaties between states and indigenous people. Charmaine White Face, a Lakota woman, attended to represent the the Sioux Nation for land lost in the 1868 Fort Laramie Treaty.
