After six years of battle, the High Court has rejected an appeal from two members of the stolen generation. Lorna Cubillo and Peter Gunner sought government recognition and compensation for the pain and suffering they experienced when they were forcibly removed from their families. Following the court’s decision, other members of the stolen generation have started a campaign to establish a reparations tribunal to assist victims.
