Inspiring the Maya Youth of Chiapas Through Radio (Tseltal and Tsotsil)

Student radio stations have been a very important space for Maya youth, especially women, who have found a space to make their voices heard, learn about and promote their rights, and take action to prevent and eradicate all types of violence and discrimination. Through a series of trainings, participating youth will strengthen their capacities in communication and radio production, editing, and other skills, enabling them to generate content that promotes the values of the Mayan cosmovision, human rights, the rights of children and adolescents, sexual and reproductive rights, and Indigenous rights. Podcasts and radio content will be developed in Tseltal, Tsotsil, and Spanish.
