
Carlos Madrigal (Mazahua/Jñatjo), Capacity Building Program Assistant, is from the Mazahua community in Michoacán de Ocampo, México. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Also, Carlos holds certificates in policy, international affairs, and diplomacy from different universities and institutes in Mexico, Spain, and the United States. He has experience working with embassies and international organizations such as the United Nations and the Inter-American Conference on Social Security. Carlos has conducted research related to Indigenous Peoples, youth, and communication issues. Since he was 15, he has been interested in Indigenous issues and has been working to promote Indigenous Peoples' rights to culture and land defense.
