Valine Brown (haida)

K'aayhlt'aa Haanas (Valine Brown) is an organizer, communications professional, and a Haida citizen of the K'aawas Eagle clan. Her work is rooted in her home country. Valine's academic and advocacy efforts focus on Indigenous titles, rights, and responsibilities. She believes in the power of people and connection to places and is strongly connected to building community resilience in the midst of the climate crisis. Valine strategizes on the beach and finds inspiration in the forests of her homeland, Haida Gwaii.
