Executive Director Benon Sevan recently visited the northern provinces of Suleimanayah, Erbil and Dohuk in an effort to initiate improvements to the oil-for-food program. Discussions are underway in Baghdad to render the program more effective in relieving the humanitarian situation among indigenous Kurds impoverished by sanctions.
